Dr. Carolyn R. Weiss

Doctor of Chiropractic

Born and raised in St. Andrews just south of Selkirk, Dr. Carolyn R. Weiss, Chiropractor, is excited to serve her home community of the Interlake and Greater Winnipeg area. She has a strong history with the Interlake, having worked as a swim instructor at the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School, and at Lower Fort Garry for over 15 years prior to beginning her chiropractic studies. She brings a passion for educating patients, providing the superior service and quality healthcare they deserve.

Dr. Weiss, MSc, DC started her science career at the University of Winnipeg, receiving a Bachelor of Science Honours with distinction in Biology and Biochemistry; followed by a Master of Science, Medicine Immunology, at the University of Manitoba. Her interest in how the human body functions and the amazing things it can do led her to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she graduated Cum Laude in 2016. While at school she completed additional training in patient care methods such as Graston Technique, Rock Tape, Myofascial Release Technique (MRT), Torque Release Technique, Pregnancy, Paediatrics, and Geriatrics.

Outside the office, she has a long-held passion for serving her community. She has volunteered with the non-profit Friends of Lower Fort Garry as President since 2013, and as a Member at Large with the Manitoba Underground Opera since 2021. While at the University of Manitoba, she served as Health Sciences Graduate Students Association President, and while at Northwestern, as Vice President Chiropractic, for which she received the Student Leadership Scholarship and was inducted into the Student Leadership Hall of Fame. As a student, her favourite internships were with the Downtown Minneapolis Salvation Army Free Clinic and at the federally-subsidized La Clinica in Saint Paul.

In her spare time Dr. Weiss, Chiropractor, loves to sing, especially with church choir, swimming, and would like to take up curling again (now that she’s back in Canada). She also enjoys supporting her second home, Lower Fort Garry, as President of the Friends of Lower Fort Garry, and going to the opera.
