Dr. Lorne Canvin
Doctor of Podiatry
Dr. Lorne Canvin, a home town Selkirk boy, is a graduate of Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland with a degree in Podiatric Medicine. For many years, he provided podiatry services at several locations throughout Winnipeg, Selkirk and Teulon. He was also the Podiatrist for CFB Winnipeg.
Dr. Canvin continues to provide Podiatry services in Winnipeg, Selkirk and Teulon and in addition provide a house call service upon request. He also specializes in biomechanical issues such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, etc., which he treats with custom orthotics. Dr. Canvin has developed a specialized work boot which is on display at the clinic. Dr. Canvin bills Blue Cross, WCB, RCMP and DVA directly.
Prior to becoming a Podiatrist, Dr. Canvin was a registered psychiatric nurse for 19 years.
